Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi is a Jewish-interest sorority founded October 1, 1998 at the University of California, Davis. Since its inception fifteen years ago, Sigma has become a national sorority, expanding to include chapters across the nation. At Davis, Sigma is an associate member of Panhellenic.
We are known unofficially as ‘Sigma’. You can spot us around campus wearing our colors, Aggie blue and gold. Our mascot is the lioness, our gem is the sapphire, and our flower is the iris.
Our motto is “Spirit, Strength, Sisterhood” and our core values are Unity, Trust, Strength, Sincere Sisterhood, and Jewish Values. We live by these five values, and incorporate them into events throughout each quarter.
The purpose of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi is to promote unity, support, and Jewish awareness, as well as to provide a Jewish experience for ourselves, our members, and the community as a whole. We are devoted to friendship, motivation, opportunity, leadership, and well-being.
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
Spirit, Strength, and Sincere Sisterhood are our three pillars of Sigma.
We strive to create a space where women from all backgrounds can come together and support one another while also learning about themselves.
